WINE LIST LA TAPERIA

THE SOIL, THE CLIMATE, AND THE SEA

Unique wines of limited production and an almost inaccessible visit

  • Corga Joven D.O Ribeira Sacra
  • Garnacha de Arrayán D.O Cebreros
  • Scala Dei Prior D.O Priorat

The complexities of the terrain can pose a great challenge for winegrowers. Endless hills, where each bunch of grapes must be picked manually and where grape-pickers defy Newton’s laws.

Wines sheltered by the river

  • Brunes D.O. Rioja
  • Ceres D.O. Ribera Del Duero
  • Dehesa De Los Canónigos D.O Ribera Del Duero

Without any doubt, the best wines in the world are associated with the course of a river.

The river basins create valleys that favor the cultivation of the vine. The best vineyards are in distance from the water yet close to its influence. The constant humidity guarantees nutrients and protects the plants from both winter frost and summer heat.

Not suitable for all palates

  • Antona García D.O. Toro
  • Balancines Crianza D.O. Ribera Del Guadiana
  • Quinta Aves Rosé

Excessive hours of sunshine pose a challenge for wineries, but once controlled, the result is indescribable. The grapes end up with a high concentration of sugars and tannins, giving rise to complex, structured wines with high alcohol content.

Fresh and sweet wines

  • Casal Armal Tinto D.O. Ribeiro
  • A Coro D.O. Valdeorras
  • Martín Códax Lías D.O. Rías Baixas

In rainy regions, the plantation is prepared to receive an excessive quantity of water. It is essential that the land has good drainage, that the plantation is not crowded in order to prevent diseases such as powdery mildew and mildew, and that the selection of the variety cultivated is adequate. Usually planted in a vine arbour to optimize sun exposure and to keep bunches away from the humidity of the soil. Fresh and sweet wines.

A treat for the senses

  • Signature, Champagne Francia
  • Sábalo, D.O. V.T Cádiz
  • Titiana Vintage, D.O. Cava

The content of mineral salts in the wine depends on how the plant feeds from the ground. The salt, essential for life, also increases organoleptic pleasure. Wines with mineral and spicy characteristics.

Each land, a different wine.

  • Tabuca D.O. Campo De Borja
  • Reflejo De Mikaela V.T Tierra De Castilla
  • Cuatro Pasos Black D.O. Bierzo

The quality of the grape is favored when the plant is stressed in the search for water and is forced to develop its roots. The slate accumulates heat and offers us wines with a balanced alcohol content. The clay retains water and nutrients, provides tannins, and lowers alcohol content. The stone pebbles accentuate the fruity and warm character of the wines.

Powerful and structured

  • BassusD.O.Utiel-Requena
  • Brunus D.O. Monstsant
  • L’Avi Arrufi D.O. Tierra Alta

The roots of wine are debated between ancient Mesopotamia and Georgia, but its expansion throughout Europe began from the Mediterranean region. The sea softens the temperature and favors the complete ripening of the grapes. The number of hours of sun exposure offers us full bodied wines with considerable alcohol strength.

The wine out of its comfort zone.

  • Gamonal D.O. León
  • Sendero De Ukan D.O.Ca Rioja
  • Trasnocho D.O.Ca Rioja

Wines with an Atlantic influence maintain higher acidity and freshness due to the lower production of sugars and the slower ripening of the fruit. Regions with more production difficulties, but with highly rewarding, interesting, and surprising wines.

Don’t miss out on trying our wine selection: The land, the climate, and the sea.
